The Rook may capture the Black pawn on it's turn as it is on the way of the Rook's path. However. it cannot capture the white pawn or share same square as it's a piece of its own colour.

The Rook:

Rooks move in straight lines - either front, back, or to the sideways. As long as there are no pieces blocking the way, a Rook may travel as far as it wishes to. A Rook in value is equal to 5 points - making it the second strongest piece in Chess. Rooks capture the same way they travel.
