Centralizing your queen in the middle of the chessboard is a fantastic way to improve your overall position. It's important to note that your queen should usually develop to active squares where she cannot be chased easily! In the example position below, we see an opening played by black, where white gets a perfect opportunity to centralize the queen in the middle of the board, and black isn't able to chase the queen away.
